Why e-bike + 4x4 support
Iceland’s Highlands are demanding, with volcanic tracks, river crossings and unpredictable wind.
E-bikes let you cover 40–70 km a day and reach places a regular bike (or your own legs) couldn’t, while our support van stays close behind.

Day 1 - Reykjanes Península
We start the ride in Heiðmörk, following forest trails just outside the capital. From there, the trees quickly give way to open lava fields as we enter the Reykjanes Peninsula. The route continues on gravel tracks or along Lake Kleifarvatn until we reach the geothermal area of Seltún, where we stop to see the steam vents and boiling mud pools up close. We wrap up the day with a transfer to Reykholt/Fludir area, with time to settle into the accommodation and dinner.

Day 2 - Scenic Route to the Þjórsá River Waterfalls
We’ll start the day with a drive to the Þjórsárdalur Valley, one of the most significant historical areas in the country’s interior. Our first stop will be at Stöng, a reconstruction of an ancient Viking farm that was buried following an eruption of the Hekla volcano, whose silhouette will be with us throughout the day. From Stöng, we’ll hike to Gjáin, a hidden oasis of small waterfalls, lava formations, and lush vegetation. We’ll make our way up the valley toward Háifoss. With a vertical drop of over 120 meters, it’s one of Iceland’s tallest and most impressive waterfalls. We’ll end our route at Hjalparfoss, another of the river’s beautiful waterfalls.

Our vehicle will take us to the start of what is probably one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world.
A bike ride through volcanic landscapes, rivers, and multicolored mountains until we reach Landmannalaugar, the heart of the Highlands.
Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a soak in the natural hot springs. Those who wish can take one of the marked hiking trails in the area, among rhyolite mountains, lava fields, and fumaroles. Return by vehicle to the hotel.

Day 4 - Golden Circle by Bike
Leaving Flúðir area, we spend the day cycling through Iceland’s famous Golden Circle. Rather than seeing it through a bus window, we experience these classic landscapes from the saddle, connecting the region’s three iconic stops: the powerful waterfall of Gullfoss, the steaming geothermal field of Geysir with its erupting Strokkur, and the rift valley of Thingvellir National Park, where the tectonic plates pull apart.

Day 5 - From Hvolsvöllur to Thorsmök Valley
Today we head south to Hvolsvöllur, where we unload the bikes and set off toward the unique cascades of Gluggafoss. From there, gravel tracks take us past Múlakot as we follow the river plain beneath the dramatic slopes of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, discovering hidden valley waterfalls tucked against the cliffs along the way. Weather permitting, we cross an old river bridge to reach the iconic Seljalandsfoss. To avoid the heavy traffic on Route 1, we pack the bikes into the support vehicle here and drive to the thunderous Skógafoss for our final stop, before making our way back to Reykjavík.
